Day 6
Lesson for today is from 9am to 11am only as we need to rehearse the performance during the interaction with local students at night. We started on our practical. We spent the whole afternoon rehearsing and doing the props.

At about 7pm, we went to west-5-3 to for the interaction night. I was quite shock when I saw about 100plus local students in the theatre as there are only 21 of us performing. I was quite nervous before I went on stage. But the cheering and encouragement from friends calmed me down. ECE performed a song with the company of the guitar. The local students also performed for us. One of the local students sang a song. Also, they organized games for us to participate. Wei qin and me represented MDE to play the first game. The local students had to describe a word without any talking for us to guess. It was fun and hilarious! As for us, we performed the history of Singapore. The 5 items that we performed are linked together forming a story line. The first item put up by us is introducing them to the different cultural costumes, second is about Singapore’s past, the lion city third is about why raffles came to Singapore, fourth is about the war, and lastly is the NDP dance. One of the local classes from china sang a song to end put an end to the performance.

Reflection
The performance was quite a success although some parts did not run smoothly as what was planned. Also, due to the limited time, we did not have much time to go through every detail while rehearsing. The local students did a great job too! We must thanks them for coordinating everything to ensure things run so smoothly. I did enjoy the performance be it us performing or the performance put up by the locals. Also, doing this as a group, we need to learn to compromise and be patient in order to success. Teamwork is the most important as we are all in this together.
