Day 14

Lesson at 9am today and we learnt a new topic, project control. After we done practical 4, we had our practical quiz. We had to show Ms Neo how we do it on her computer individually. It was actually very easy if I know all the concepts clearly. Ms Neo let us off early today for us to consult her on the project and to give us more time to complete our project. We left school at about 4pm to Wal-Mart to buy food for the 3 day 2 night Three gorges tour. Bought so many things that we needed to use two trolleys. It looks as though we have not eaten for days or stocking up for war!

Took a cab back to the hostel as we there are too many things to be carried. The cab here is not as safe as those in Singapore. From the picture, you can see that the seat belt is actually cut off! They do not care whether you put on the seat belts or not be it in the front or back seats. This is really dangerous if there is a sudden brake. Moreover, the roads here are bumpy and the vehicles do not follow the lanes on the road.

After that, we went back to the street behind the campus to have our dinner. We ordered 3 dishes and a soup to share between 5 of us. However, the dish did not turned out to be what we expected. Every dish is cooked with spice. The spice tasted weird to me and so did not really eat a lotof it. Went back to the hostel and meet my teammates for last editing of the project. Then, yanting and me went to MacDonalds to buy pie! One embarrassing thing that happened is that we actually lost our way while on the way back. After searching for about 15minutes, we finally found our way back to the hostel!

Reflection:
After the practical quiz today, I found out that I’m still not very familiar with how the functions work. Therefore, I have to pay more attention from now onwards and practice more. The condition of the cabs and roads in Singapore is better as we have stricter rules. All seat belts must be put on be it at the back or front. The lanes in Singapore are also clearly defined and vehicles follow the respective lanes. Thank god that we follow stricter rules in Singapore as accidents are unpredictable. The government has done a good job in ensuring the safety of us.
